How to Connect Zoom with Sally AI

By connecting your Zoom account, Sally can automatically read your scheduled Zoom meetings and appear in them (with the required permissions) without you having to send a separate invitation. After the connection is set up, your Zoom appointments show up directly in the Sally platform, right next to the events from your other connected calendars.

This is useful if you schedule meetings directly in Zoom instead of in a classic calendar such as Outlook, Google or Apple. Sally treats the Zoom connection like any other calendar source, so you can combine it with your existing calendars.

1. When the Zoom connection is useful

Connect Zoom if one of the following applies to you:

  • You schedule your meetings directly in Zoom (web portal or desktop app) and not through a calendar app.
  • Your Zoom meetings do not appear reliably in the calendar you already connected to Sally.
  • You want Sally to join your Zoom meetings automatically without you adding her manually each time.

If all of your Zoom meetings are already in a connected Outlook, Google or Apple calendar, you do not need this integration. In that case, Sally already recognizes the Zoom link inside the calendar event.

2. How to connect Zoom

  1. Open Settings in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Integrations.
  3. In the Calendar section, click "+ Add Calendar".
  4. Choose Zoom from the list of providers and click Connect.
  5. Sign in with your Zoom account and confirm the requested permissions. Sally needs read access to your scheduled meetings so it can display them and join them at the right time.
  6. After a successful sign-in you are redirected back to Sally, and the Zoom connection appears in the Calendar section.
info

Use the Zoom account you actually schedule your meetings with. If you connect a different account, Sally only sees the meetings that belong to that account.

3. After the connection

Once Zoom is connected, you can activate the individual calendars of the provider directly in Sally. Only the activated entries are synced, so you decide which meetings end up in Sally.

Your scheduled Zoom meetings then appear in the Sally calendar view together with the events from your other connected sources.

info

The first synchronization can take a few moments. If your meetings do not show up right away, restart Sally or trigger the synchronization manually on the Integrations page.

Once the connection is in place, you can define whether and when Sally should automatically join your meetings.

4. Good to know

  • Only scheduled meetings are synced. Instant meetings that you start spontaneously in Zoom have no calendar entry and therefore cannot be synced. For those, add Sally via the meeting link.
  • Meetings hosted by other people only reach Sally if they are part of your Zoom account or of one of your connected calendars.
  • Meetings for signed-in participants only. If your organization restricts Zoom meetings so that only authenticated users may join, Sally needs its own Zoom login. See Zoom Credentials for the setup.
  • You can combine several providers. The Zoom connection works alongside your Outlook, Google or Apple calendar. If a meeting exists in both sources, Sally still joins only once.
