Automated Attendance
Sally can automatically join your meetings without any manual invitation — but only if certain conditions are met and your participation mode is set correctly.
This is especially useful if you want Sally to attend recurring or routine meetings without having to invite her each time.
Quick Navigation
1. How it works
For Sally to automatically join a meeting, both of the following must be true:
- Your calendar is connected to Sally.
- "Automatic meeting participation" is enabled in your settings ("Meeting Assistant" Settings).
Once these requirements are met, Sally will join meetings according to the participation mode you have chosen.

2.1. Join only internal meetings
Sally will only join meetings where all participants belong to a domain listed in your internal whitelist.
What is the internal whitelist?
The internal whitelist is a list of company email domains (e.g., company.com
, subsidiary.org
) that define who is considered “internal” to your organization.
You can configure it here:
- Got to your Settings.

-
Navigate to Meeting Assistant.
-
Scroll down until "Whistle List for Internal Meetings" appears.
-
Press +New

-
Add the desired email address and confirm your selection.
-
From now on, Sally will automatically join all meetings where every participant’s email address matches a domain on your whitelist.
When is this useful?
Perfect if you want Sally to attend only internal team syncs, department stand-ups, or project meetings — without joining external client calls.
2.2. Join only meetings with users from this organization
Sally will join only if all participants are registered users of your Sally organization — not just matching a domain, but actually part of your Sally workspace.
When is this useful?
Ideal for companies with multiple domains or shared addresses but who want to limit Sally’s attendance to verified team members within the Sally platform.
2.3. Join only external meetings
Sally will join only meetings that include at least one participant from outside your internal whitelist.
When is this useful?
Great for customer-facing teams, sales, or account managers who only want Sally in external demos, onboarding sessions, or partner meetings — avoiding internal chatter.
2.4. Join only if I am the host
Sally will only join meetings you personally organize.
When is this useful?
Helpful if you only want Sally in meetings you own, ensuring she doesn’t join when you are simply invited as a guest.
2.5. Never join meetings automatically
Sally will never join by herself. You can still invite her manually via email or meeting link when needed.
When is this useful?
Recommended if you want full manual control — for example, when meeting topics vary in sensitivity or Sally’s attendance is only occasionally required.
Tip for manual control
If you prefer to control Sally’s attendance manually, set participation mode to "Never join meetings automatically" and invite her only when needed.
