October 7, 2026: The host pauses a group recording for all devices at once
One pause for the whole group: in a group recording, the host now pauses every device at once with Pause group and resumes them all together with Resume group.
If your meeting alternates between the whole group and smaller breakout groups, you no longer have to stop the recording. Nothing said during the pause becomes part of the recording.
What's new?
- Pause group: while the recording is running, the host taps Pause group. Within a few seconds, all other devices pause as well
- Resume group: the host taps Resume group to continue on every device. You can pause and resume as often as you like
- No separate pause for participants: participants' devices no longer have a pause button of their own. Their recording pauses automatically, and they see that the host paused the group
- Joining during the pause: if a device joins while the group is paused, it starts recording as soon as the host resumes
- Clean result: the pauses are left out of the final recording, because Sally only merges the parts the host recorded
If a device does not pause along with the others, check that the latest version of the Sally app is installed on it.
