Accessibility statement
Aliru GmbH wants everyone to be able to use the Sally Help Center, including with a screen reader, with the keyboard only or with strong magnification. This statement describes how the Help Center meets the accessibility requirements and where limitations remain.
Scope
This statement applies to the Sally Help Center at help.sally.io in English and German.
The service
Sally AI is an AI meeting assistant by Aliru GmbH. Sally joins online meetings or records conversations on site, creates transcripts and summaries from them and passes tasks on to other tools. You use Sally in the browser at app.sally.io, with the apps for iOS and Android and with the Sally Recorder for Windows.
The Help Center explains step by step how to set up and use Sally. It contains illustrated guides, news, frequently asked questions, privacy information and the API documentation.
How the Help Center meets the requirements
The benchmark is the European standard EN 301 549, whose requirements for websites correspond to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
The Help Center is partially compliant with these requirements. Based on our assessment, the web pages themselves meet the WCAG 2.1 level AA criteria. There are limitations with some downloadable documents (see Known limitations).
What we have put in place:
- Text alternatives: every image has a text that describes what it shows and which controls are highlighted
- Keyboard: every function works without a mouse. A link at the top of each page jumps straight to the content, and the focus is always visible
- Contrast: text and controls reach the required contrast, in both light and dark mode
- Structure: every page has a main heading, a gap-free outline, labelled page regions and the correct language
- Zoom: pages can be magnified up to 400% and work from a width of 320 pixels without horizontal scrolling
- Forms: fields have labels and autofill hints for common details. Error messages belong to their field, and confirmations are announced
- Enlarging images: the magnifier on every image is a labelled button, and you close the enlarged view with Escape
How we tested
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out on October 19, 2026. We checked every page of the Help Center automatically against WCAG 2.2 AA, in light and dark mode, on desktop and at phone width. We also checked by hand: keyboard operation, visible focus, increased text spacing, display at 320 pixels wide and the use of the forms.
Known limitations
The following content is not yet fully accessible. For each item, we list the WCAG criteria concerned, the reason and the alternative.
- Downloadable documents: several PDF documents in the download center, for example the data protection impact assessment, the technical and organizational measures and the record of processing activities, are not yet prepared for screen readers. They lack structural information, and some also lack a title or the correct document language (criteria 1.3.1, 2.4.2 and 3.1.1). Reason: the documents were created without this information. We are converting them step by step. Until then, we will send you the content in an accessible form on request to privacy@sally.io
- Embedded video: the Trello guide contains an embedded YouTube video whose captions we have not yet checked (criterion 1.2.2). Every step it shows is also described in the guide as text and images
