September 21, 2026: Meeting Recorder for macOS

The Meeting Recorder is on the Mac: the app that records meetings straight on your computer now comes in a macOS version 🚀

Since Sally 2.0 the Recorder has been running on Windows. From today there is a second version, for macOS 12 or newer, on Apple Silicon and on Intel alike. Both come from the same download page in Sally, and the page marks the one that fits the machine you are sitting at.

🚀 What's new?

• It waits in the menu bar: on the Mac the app has no window of its own, it sits in the menu bar until there is something to record
• It notices conversations by itself: Someone is speaking appears in the corner and asks whether Sally should take notes. Record now starts the recording, and you can start one yourself any time
• Microphone plus computer audio: your voice and the other side, recorded right on your computer. Sally does not join the meeting as a bot for this
• Straight into Sally: the recording uploads on its own and lands under Recordings, ready for the transcript and the summary like every other meeting
• Two permissions at the first launch: macOS asks for the microphone and for screen recording, then the app has to be quit and started once more, because macOS only takes the screen recording on after a restart
