FAQ: Sally App
Yes, the Sally mobile app is available for Android and iOS. Record in-person meetings, view transcriptions directly on your phone, and access meeting summaries on the go.
Yes. You can upload existing audio and video files in the Sally app and have them transcribed - ideal for recordings that weren't created live with Sally. Sally will automatically generate a transcription and summary.
For optimal results at in-person meetings:
- Keep your smartphone within arm's length of the conversation
- Disconnect Bluetooth devices (e.g. headphones) so the built-in microphone is used
- Recordings should be at least 30 seconds long to produce a usable transcript
- Have everyone briefly introduce themselves at the start of the meeting - this helps Sally assign speakers accurately
Don't worry - accidentally stopped recordings are not lost. You can find them under "Pending recordings" in the app and resume or finalize them from there.
Yes. After stopping a recording, you can link it to an existing calendar appointment. This helps keep your recordings organized and makes it easy to find the right transcription and summary later. You can also add a custom name for the recording.
